If your project is classed as being a ‘Notifiable’ project under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, then we also offer a more comprehensive service to prepare your Construction Phase Plan for this as well.  Further information can be found by clicking here.

CDM Construction Phase Plan for Non-Notifiable Projects

Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, the Principal Contractor now needs to prepare a CDM Construction Phase Plan and issue it to the client for approval, BEFORE commencing work on site.  The CDM Construction Phase Plan should be developed in accordance with the Pre-Construction Information provided by the Client and Principal Designer.

This service is for the preparation of a simple CDM Construction Phase Plan for a non-notifiable project (as defined by the CDM Regulations 2015).  A project will typically be notifiable under CDM 2015 if the works are to last more than 500 person days or 30 working days (with more than 20 people working at the same time).  In this instance, this Construction Phase Plan is likely to be too simple and a more comprehensive CDM Construction Phase Plan will be required, this can be found by clicking here.

Virtually ALL works now require a Construction Phase Plan to be in place prior to the start of any construction works.  The need for a CPP is no longer restricted to large commercial projects, even all but the very simplest of small domestic works will now also need a Construction Phase Plan to be in place before starting work.  Failing to do so is an offence under the construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
