DSE Workstation Online Self-Assessment

DSE Workstation Online Self-Assessment

£15.00

Our online DSE self-assessment takes the employee step by step, through a series of questions to help identify if any further action, adjustments or additional equipment is needed. The DSE self-assessment takes into account not only the direct equipment but also the surrounding environment, such as lighting and screen reflections. The self-assessment challenges the answers that are given by the employee and offers suggested solutions. Upon completion, the assessment is reviewed to ensure that no further action is required.

DSE Workstation Online Self-Assessment

Our online Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Workstation Assessment has been developed to provide users of display screen equipment with an easy to complete self assessment of their Display Screen Equipment and Work Station setup.  This is legally required under the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations for all DSE Users.

It is the employer’s duty as outlined in the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations as amended by the Health and Safety (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2002, to identify if employees are classed as DSE Users, and to assess their needs appropriately.

The definition of a DSE user is:

‘An employee who habitually uses DSE for a significant part of their working day’

If an employee is classed as a DSE User under the Regulations, it is the employers responsibility to ensure that a DSE assessment is completed and then reviewed/updated on a regular basis. The employee must co-operate with the employer regarding the completion of the assessment. If the employee is fit and healthy, has no long term conditions such as work related upper limb disorders (WRULD) or musculoskeletal disorders (MSD), and have completed Display Screen Equipment training, to ensure that they understand how to set their work station up, then a DSE self-assessment can be undertaken, such as this can be completed.
